How do you get a face cream to stop shoppers in their tracks?


THE DESIGN SOLUTION
For Macy’s launch of Estee Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair, Kinc designed a 40 foot tall walk-through bottle that allowed guests to literally “get into” the product.

 

Great idea! Now, how do we build it?...

KINC COMES TO THE RESCUE
A velour fabric skin was stretched over a steel and foam structure, designed to safely hang from a single point in Macy's historic Tiffany-ceilinged atrium. Topped by a golden DNA spiral representing Estee Lauder technology, the piece was anchored to the main floor display kiosks. To complete the price, the interior of the “bottle” was filled with gold mylar helium balloons, representing Night Repair's golden lotion.

 

THE IMPACT
The beauty and size of the piece drew attention from shoppers of all sexes and ages, and made a visual impact from all levels of the atrium.  In addition to creating a high level of awareness for the product itself, Macy’s employees reported that many guests photographed and posed next to the piece throughout the launch event.
