How do you encapsulate an entire Latin fiesta of flowers in one standout object?

THE DESIGN SOLUTION
To anchor the entrance of Macy's Floranova flower show launch party at the flagship store in Chicago, Kinc designed a smiling, 16-foot tall paper-mache rooster.

Great idea! Now how do we build it?

KINC COMES TO THE RESCUE

Following traditional paper-mache methods, Kinc build a framework of (what else?) chicken wire, and PVC pipe legs, and overlaid it with cloth strips, accented with foam flowers and leg ruffles, plsu a massive dyed-feather tail.

Installed at the base of Macy's main escalator atrium, Kinc's rooster welcomed patrons to the event, proving an irresistible draw, and a great photo-op, for young and old.

THE IMPACT
In addition to creating buzz throughout the store, Kinc's "El Gallo Grande" was selected from hundreds of entries to be featured in prestigious Design Journal Magazine's 2008 'Powerful Products' Issue
