KINC SENDS MARSHALL FIELD'S TO THE FRENCH COUNTRYSIDE

THE COMMUNICATION CHALLENGE
How do you turn a Midwestern department store into the coast of France?

THE DESIGN SOLUTION
Working from sketches by celebrity floral designer Christian Tortu, Kinc designed a series of faux terra-cotta column surrounds and wooden arbors to display plants for Marshall Field's annual flower show.

Great idea! Now how do we build it?

KINC COMES TO THE RESCUE

Wooden surrounds for the stores' exisitng support columns were built and treated with paintwork to give them an authentic look.  Hanging street lanterns were fabricated to grace the surrounds, and shelves and pots were added to hold flora typical to Provence.

Large Arbors made from rustic 9” diameter posts and twig mats were created to stand in the aisles, and to complerte the look, planters of all sizes were treated to look like aged-moss covered French pots and installed throughout the store's display shelves.
